The Ten Commandments Are Not Nailed to the Cross

Updated on October 27, 2015

When Grace is in Place we can Keep God's Laws By The Spirit by having the Faith and righteousness of Yeshua The Christ in us.

Welcome to our new Bible study about God's Laws the Ten Commandments. In this study we will find out what was really nailed to the Cross of Jesus Christ. There seems to be a gross misunderstanding among Christian churches that God's Ten Commandments, Exodus 20:1-17 and Dueteronomy 5:1-22, were nailed to the Cross of Jesus when He died, John 19:30. If this is so, then why did Jesus, Paul, John and James say they have not been changed. In this study we will investigating what the Word of God says on this important subject, so we can get to the truth on this matter.

It is not hard to find these truths set forth in the Bible to make it plain to all, that the Laws, the Ten Commandments of God are still a very important part of our Christian growth in order to receive perfection and salvation. There are those that will claim that God's Commandments can be changed by the church when needed. However, as we read the Holy Scriptures we will find that these spritual laws of God are not to be tampered with. We can see right away that Jesus Christ said we are to keep them throughout all the 4 Gospel messages from Him to us. Jesus makes it plain in the Gospel of Matthew, that He came to magnify and make clearer and plainer to us that they are to be kept, Matthew 5:17-48.

In the Gospel of Mark, Jesus made it plain to the Pharisees and scribes and a young man that God's Commandments are to be kept. To the Pharisees he told them marriage needed to be honored and that adultery was not good, Mark 10;2-12. When a man came running to him and asked what to do to inherit eternal life, he told him to keep God's Commandments, Mark 10:17-22. In Mark chapter twelve, he told one of the scribes about the first four commandments of God, that they were to be kept, Mark 12:28-34.

In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus acknowledges the Law and the prophets , but now since John the Baptist had been murdered by Herod, men and women have been called to preach the Gospel and that none of the teachings of the prophets had been done away with, Luke 16:14-17. Then he goes on to explain that marriage is still part of God's laws and that adultery and covetousness is still against God's commandments, Luke 16:18-31.

Jesus also makes it quite plain in the Gospel of John, that he wants us to keep the Ten Commandments. He points out again that adultery is contrary to the laws of God, and so are our sins, John 8::3-12-24. He also taught that he or she who sins is the servant of sin and we already know that those who are righteous are keeping God's laws, Psalm 119:172. He even rebuked the Pharisees because they were not blind to their sins, but would not repent of them, John 9:31-41. Jesus taught that the commandments of God's love were to be kept before he died and that he who listened to Him would be saved, John 12:43-50, 13:34-35, 14:15, 15: 7-14-26.

Jesus healed many of the Jews, and forgave them their sins in all four Gospels. Their sins were the result of broken physical and spiritual laws which were broken continually by the Houses of Israel and Judah. In Leviticus 26 and Dueteronomy chapters 26-28, God gave Israel warnings of what would happen to them as a result of sin. Jesus came to encourage the Jews of His day to keep the Ten Commandments of God, and accept Him as their Savior, but most did not, but instead killed the Savior of the world to fulfill all prophecies about Him, Isaiah 53:1-12, Psalm 22:1-31. We live in a very sick world because most humans do not live by God's great Ten Commandments, God can write them in your heart and mind if you will let Him, Jeremiah 31:31-33.

The apostle Paul is the apostle that wrote about what Grace is in his epistle to the Romans. He never said theTen Commandments of God were done away with, in fact it is by faith that the law is established, Romans 3:31. He makes it plain that God has given us a new and better way to keep the Commandments of God based on Christ's faith and righteousness in us, Romans 3:22-24, Hebrews 10:19-24. This now also includes the indwelling of the HolySpirit in us, Romans 8:1-4. The Ten Commandment are spiritual laws and a new type of mind is needed to keep them, Romans 7:9-14.

There is a change required in our fleshy minds but we must have the Holy Spirit in us to develop the very mind of Jesus, Romans 8:5-14, Philippians 2:5-6, Hebrews 10:15-16. Our fleshy carnal minds of themselves, can never keep God's spiritual laws perfectly because they are just plain hostile to God's laws of faith, Romans 3:9-24. The best that humans can do is try to keep them in the letter of the law, with countless animal sacrifices, as a temporary substitute for the life of Jesus Christ. Animal sacrifice was a kind of debt to be paid until Christ came and died for us to pay the real debt, so the law could be established by faith, Romans 4:4, 3:31, Exodus 12:5-8.

Faith can only come when God dwells in us, so that we have the mind of Christ Jesus. That mind is the minds of both the Father - Yahuweh and the Holy Spirit Mother - Ruach HaKadosh, Luke 1:30-35. Isaiah 11:2,John 14:6 -11. First, we become the property of the Holy Spirit at baptism, and then we can have all Three Beings living in our minds by faith, John 14:23, 1Corinthians 6:19-20. Now we can keep God's spiritual laws and commandments by God's good graces in us, through Their faith and righteousness, not by our carnal minds. This is where so many go astray in their understanding because it is just their underdstanding from their own minds, not God's minds, Matthew 15:7-9, Proverbs 14:12.

Now, some will say this was done, but Jesus was killed by the Jews and people would hate the Jewish nation, and teach that God's laws are for the Jews and are done away. The Jews because of lack of faith would no longer be God's people. The Jews have consistantly persecuted Jesus' followers even up in to our days, Acts 6:59-60, 8:1-3. This gave birth to a replacement theology, that was started by the Romans in 135 A.D. by the Roman Emperor Hadrian, when he ran the Jews out of Rome. This was fully instituted into Roman law at the Council of Nicea in 321 A.D., by Constantine the Great. The Roman Church would preach that it has replaced the Jews and is now the kingdom of God on earth in their church only, as of 423 to 426 A.D. This church would be preaching about another Jesus, Mithra, as the apostle Paul warned God's disciples it would be done, 2 Corinthians 11:3-4.

In the pages of the apostle Paul's epistles, you wil find some people who will try to use Paul's writings to show that the Sabbath law of God's commandments has been done away, Romans 14:5-6. This is not the case, since in those scriptures the Sabbath is nowhere mentioned here nor hardly anywhere in the book of Romans. The days mentioned had to do with the special fast days of the Jews since the Babylonian captivity. The Jews were still keeping them.

Also, some will try to use Colossians 2:16, as and excuse that God's Holy Days and Sabbath law have been done away with because they are Jewish Holy Days. God's Holy Days are God's Holy Days and were not just for the Jews only but for all humans, Leviticus 23:1-4. They are to be kept forever and there is much proof that Paul kept them in the book of Acts, along with many Gentiles, Acts 13;14,27, 42-44, 16:13, 17:2-4, 18:4. They with Paul kept the Passover and the Days of Unleaven Bread, and Pentecost again, Acts 20:6,16. When Jesus returns the Fall Teast Days will also be kept, Zechariah 14:1-2, 16-20, Revelation 20:1-4. the House of Israel will be reconciled with the Houe of Judah, and they both will makeup the one nation of the New Israel, starting in Jerusalem under Jesus Christ, Romans 11:25-26, Ezekiel 37:16-22.

The idea that God did away with God's Sabbath and Holy Days because of the Jews rejection of Jesus, was because they had a misunderstanding of who Jesus Christ was. This failure of the Jews will finally be corrected. At that time the Jews - Judah with the House of Israel will be reconciled and be one nation under Jesus Christ, Zechariah 12:9-10. All these facts are in the Bible, and shows that wicked men, with ulterior motives will be destroyed forever, 2 Peter 1:20-21. All the false prophets of Satan will be put away with there evil deeds, 2 Peter 2:1-22.

If you are still a doubter and still believe that God'sTen Commandments laws are still done away with, then you need to read the Bible more and see for your self that God's Word, does not change and will stand forever, Isaiah 8:20, 2 Timothy 2:15-19., Malachi 3:6. Read especially the epistles of James and John for more proof that God's laws of love will always be intact and not one jot or tittle of them will be removed, Matthew 5:17-19.

When you read the epistle of James, you will see that everyone needs to keep God's royal laws of Love in the faith and righteousness of Jesus Christ. James says, that if you break any one of them you have broken them all and need to repent of doing so, James 2:8-19. What we need is faith with the works of righteousness and to be doers of loving God and other humans, James 1:22-27. If you are in doubt about keeping them still, then ask for the wisdom to keep them and how to apply them to your lives, James 1:5-6.

The apostle Paul had a lot to say about our human nature that will war against God's Spirit in us in the book of Romans. If you are totally submitted to God and have been baptized and become servants of righteousness, you will still have war in your flush against the Spirit of God, but God's grace will be with you, Romans 5:1-21, 6:1-23, 7:6-25. so, do as the apostle Peter said you are to do in Acts 2:38-39. If you are still in doubt then draw near to God as James encourages us ito do in, James 4:6-10.

The worlds spirit of Satan will always oppose God's ways. Take for instance how the Roman church, in 321 A.D., under Constantine the Great brought about a change to abolish the keeping of God's Sabbath Day, by simply getting the national government to endorse Sunday. Now this pagan Roman day of worship, plus the inclusion of Easter sun day replaced God's Passover and Days of Unleaven Bread and all of God's Holy days on the premise that they were for the Jews only. They just changed the fourth commandment to the first day of the week Sunday because they would seem less Jewish, Daniel 7:25.

Actually, they started what is called their replacement theology. This would make it easier to convert the pagan Romans to their and Satan's new Christianity. They would even take Jesus name and place it over their pagan god Mithra ( Nimrod) to cover their incredible deception. They would replace the Holy Spirit with Easter the sun goddess (Ishtar-Semiramis) and the martyred Jesus with her son Tammuz ( her and Nimrod's son) as a replacement for the resurrected Jesus Christ. They actually replaced God's Holy Way with pagan gods of the old Babylonian Mystery Religion, Revelation 17:5. This was a total comprimise of God's laws, breaking the first four of God's Ten Commandments, Exodus 20:1-11. Yes, they changed God's Holy Laws of and uncorruptible God and substituted the laws of men with a their false system of a corrupted Roman Babylon, Proverbs 14:12, Jeremiah 17:9.

To make matters worse for Sabbatarians many were persecuted and killed because they would not change and break God's Holy Commandments and Laws. The Protestant Reformation brought about new changes to this false system of the Devil, but did not change back to keeping all of God's laws, namely the Sabbath Day. It was still Sunday as usual for the State religions of that day in Europe and England. The Law of God was rejected because they thought it was for the Jews only and the Roman Law of Sunday was kept as the teachings of men. In he Reformed England it took a long time to find a people that were willing to suffer persecution to keep the 7th Day Sabbath. Henry the Vlll, had assumed that he had the right to keep the Sunday of Roman law, and made it the national day of worship for the English people.

Couragous Sabbath keepers were persecuted for keeping th 7th Day Sabbath in England. However, after many years some in England were finally able to start a Seventh Day Church. They were called the Separatist, and became the first Seventh Day Baptist Church in England. known as a Covenant Church of choices. Mainly their choce to keep God's Holy Sabbath day.

The Separatist were among the Pilgrims who in 1620 sailed to North America and actually founded the first Seventh Day Baptist Chuch, in America in 1671. This was the start of Sabbath keeping in this new country which became the United States of America, a new world of religious freedom. It was these Separatist in Rhode Island, The Covenant people, that were able to influenced the separation of church and state in this countries new Constitution. Though this new church never became very large, others would follow their lead and start many more Seventh Day churches in this new country of religious freedom. These new Seventh day Churches would eventually reach aeound the world. The largest of them being the Seventh Day Adventist with a church attendance of some 20 million Sabbath keepers. Others would follow like the church of God Seventh Day and the Worldwide Church of God and many more splinter groups from them, along with many new Sabbath keeping House Churches. This is where we are today in the end times when Christ is sure to return very shortly and we all need to get ready now, Revelation 22:12.

Now, if you are still not sure about all these things than go read the epistles of John for more enouragement on why we should and can keep God's Laws of love, the Ten Commandments. Here in America, USA, there has been found a radical people that remembered to keep God's Holy Sabbath Day of Exodus 20. and it was able to grow and influence the growth of other Seventh Day Churches around the world in many nations such as China, Africa, South America, Australia.

The apostle John gives a clear written picture to us that God's spiritual Laws the Ten Commandments can be kept by faith, and are still in effect. He states that if we are of God we will walk in God's light and admit our sins, John 1:6-10. That we can know God, if we keep His Commandments of love by faith, 1 John 2:3-4, 8-10. It seems that some who do not keep God's Laws think that they can break them if they want too because they still think they are for Jews only, but John says differently that they ae God's righteous laws, 1 John 3:4-10, Psalm 119:172. Also we need to remember what the apostle Paul taught us in the book of Romans, that if we are circumcised in the heart by Jesus Christ's death, then we are spiritual Jews, not physical Jews, Romans 2:28-29.

There are those that would have you think God's laws cannot be kept and needed to be changed to conform with their rules of human nature because God's laws are grievous to humans. This again is one of Satan's same old lies, John 8:44. So, do not listen to him or them. John, inspired by the Holy Spirit, says God's laws are not grievous and are laws of faith that can lead us to love God and other humans,1 John 5:1-4. That all unrighteousness is sin, 1 John 5:17-21. What we all need to do is to challenge the spirits that teach such error against God's Holy Commandments, 1 John 4:1-9. Those that really confess the real Lord Jesus will keep God's laws and God will dwell in them, 1 John 4:13-21. Those that try to replace God's rules of love are imposters and false prophets that will lead you astray to worship that other Jesus of the flesh, Mithra, Romans 8:4-10.

So there is really no excuse for not keeping God's Ten Commandments in the world today, Romans 2:1-6. But men have loved wickedness more than righteousness for nearly 6000 years, Proverbs 6:12, 1 John 5:19, Acts 28:27, Matthew 24:12. Their attempts to bring world peace by their own means, their governments and churches will fail completely, Revelation 19:19-21, Malachi 4:1.

Now, is the time for those that are radical enogh to separate themselves from this world and stop keeping the Roman rules of Babylon the Great, Revelation 18:4-8, God wants men and women for His egalitarian work to keep all of His Commandments, even His Holy Days along with His 7th Day Sabbath, Passover, the Days of Unleaven Bread, Pentecost and Fall Holy Days of the Feast of Trumpets, Atonement, the Feast of Tabernacles and the Last Great Day, Leviticus 23. If we say we are of God then we will keep God's perfect Ways by faith with Jesus Christ's righteousness in us, 1 John 4:6-11, 5:2-4; Romans 3:22-24. Love God and love one another. You really have no excuse not to love God and His ways, Romans 1:17-25, Luke 14:15-27. If you still think God's laws are done away with then are you telling us and God that we no longer need to love God the Father, the Holy Spirit or Jesus christ and other human beings? The apostle Paul did say that God's Laws are holy, just and good, Romans 7:12.

No, the Ten Commandments were not nailed to the Cross of Jesus Christ. We now have a living Way because of Him, that can be written in our minds and our hearts by Ruach HaKadosh, the Holy Spirit, Hebrews 10:15-20. Now, thanks to God's amazing Grace we can have the love, the faith, and righteousness of Jesus Christ - Yeshua, the mind of His Father and Mother. He can bring us to salvation and God can establish there spiritual laws of love in us by Christ's faith and righteousness, Romans 3:20-31. The old way of the fleshy human mind and animal sacrifice have been nailed to the Cross for human sins. Now, we can live in the Spirit of God with the life of Jesus Christ in us, who is our Atonement, Romans 8:4-11, 5:11. Amen.
